The Fourth Caribbean Environmental Forum and Exhibition (CEF 4) and the 14th Annual Wider Caribbean Waste Management Conference (ReCaribe) and the First Caribbean Sustainable Energy Forum (1st CSEF) are inviting abstracts for oral presentations for the conference during the period June 23 to 27, 2008 in Grenada.

This year's theme “Climate Change, Water and Sanitation: A Shared Responsibility”, seeks to highlight the important interlink among climate change, water and sanitation.

Abstracts

Deadline : Abstracts are to be submitted on or before April 15, 2008.

Abstract format:

• Length: Abstracts must be no more than 500 words
• Size: Letter size (8.5" x 11") paper
• Margins: Should be set at 2.54 cm (1 inch), top, bottom and sides.
• Fonts: Times New Roman at a size of 12 points
• Digital format: Use one of the following digital formats - Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Rich Text Format
• Language: English
• Topic: Please place the Main or General Conference Topic selected from the list provided, above the title
• Title: Type abstract title on a line with formatting as it would appear in the final paper
• List author(s): Presenting author first (underline) followed by affiliation immediately after author. Affiliation should include name and address, city and country, additional authors including affiliations should then follow

Body of abstract :

• Type body without any indents or tabs
• Double space between paragraphs.
  Apply bold, italics, underlining, superscripts and subscripts in your main text as you want it to appear in your final abstract.

Notification of Abstract Acceptance: Authors of accepted abstracts would be notified electronically (via e-mail) by April 30, 2008 . If you have not received notification by April 30, 2008, please contact the CEF-4 Technical Committee at cefpapers@cehi.org.lc

Papers

Authors of accepted abstract papers will be required to submit the finalized paper no later than May 16, 2008 to allow for final review and acceptance.

Notification of papers' acceptance will be done by May 31, 2008 .

At the time of acceptance, papers should not be submitted simultaneously to another conference or publication and should not be previously or subsequently published elsewhere. All accepted papers will be edited and made available on demand through the Conference Secretariat. Finalized papers must be technically accurate and grammatically correct. Conference papers will be published in the CEF-4 Technical Papers CD.

Presentation of Papers

Each accepted paper will be presented orally using a 20-minute format followed by a 10 minute question and answer period, time permitting. Accepted papers can be presented using PowerPoint, transparencies or slides. Copies of presentations must be submitted to the Conference Secretariat by no later than June 15, 2008 . At the time of submission of presentation, presenters must indicate their audio-visual requirements.
