Welcome to the Caribbean Environmental Health Institute. Your e-source for Caribbean Environmental Health Resources. The Staff of the Caribbean Environmental Institute (CEHI) thank you for your interest in our organisation.

Since the 1980's we have accomplished many important goals and have built an Environmental Health success record that is significant in this part of the world. Yet, as a dynamic organisation in an ever changing world, we are not satisfied in past successes. We recognise that there are many very important Environmental Health issues needing our attention. Our 16 Member States and numerous other partners must continue to work together to combat the increasing number of threats to our region's Environmental Health. This co-operation and the ensuring benefits derived from economies of scale, is what prompted the Caribbean Governments to found this organisation. We remain dedicated to finding cost effective solutions to Environmental Health problems in our Member States as well as our expanding list of corporate, non-governmental agency and private sector users of our services.

CEHI exists for the purpose of ensuring that the Caribbean citizenry, both present and future, are able to experience a long and healthy life in a part of the world whose environment should be as healthy as it possible can be. In pursuit of our goals and the mandate given by the Governments of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), we look to the dawn of the next millennium with great anticipation. We are filled with a sense of purpose and vigour for accomplishing the Environmental Health tasks our Member States and expanding list of clients have entrusted to us. We have also implemented many valuable and exciting programmes to assist our clients in managing and monitoring their own environmental problems. Our staff is eager to assist you in any way we possibly can. This brings you to our greatest asset…our staff.

I am privileged to work with a group of intelligent, experienced, highly motivated, Environmental Health professionals who take their jobs and your satisfaction seriously. They are recognised as experts in their fields. Our management team has the training, experience, and expertise to lead the Region's Environmental Health cause. The field and support staff surrounding these individuals are dedicated professionals as well.

CEHI has undergone many changes, all with the intention of improving the service we provide to you…our Member States and stakeholders. Now, on the threshold of a new millennium, CEHI is poised to lead the charge to a healthy environment across the entire Caribbean region.
